I stopped listening to music on my phone. Completely.
And I replaced YouTube Music with a 20-year-old 3rd-generation iPod Nano.
This video isn’t just a retro tech review or nostalgia for the 2000s. It’s a personal experiment in removing music from my smartphone to reclaim my attention, cut my screen time, and bring intentionality back to listening.
Streaming services turned music into cheap background noise. By switching back to an offline, single-purpose gadget, music stopped being the background track to my doomscrolling—and became something I actually focus on again.
Not a tech review. More of a phone decentralization experiment.
