This was done as part of the restoration process of my 5th generation iPod classic. With this mod, I decided not to change the appearance of my iPod too much. I simply wanted to make it look like it did when it was brand new again. The whole process was very straightforward and took me about a half-hour to complete. In the end, I had an iPod that looked brand new. In the future, I will be modding this iPod further, but at the time of recording this video, I did not have the extra parts, so those mods will have to wait.

If you want to do this to your iPod, there are tons of colors and styles you can choose from. You can make it completely custom if you want. Even though this was done on a 5th generation iPod, the process is almost identical on most iPod classics.
