iPod Nano 5th generation battery replacement and hold switch repair. This was a challenge but not impossible... Quality replacement parts for iPods can be sourced from Elite Obsolete Electronics (https://eoe.works)

Cutting into a lithium-ion battery is not recommended and poses a risk of fire... Only do so if absolutely necessary and ensure the battery is fully discharged (no voltage on the terminals). These batteries do catch fire when punctured so make sure you have a safe area such as a concrete floor away from combustibles or a safe steel enclosure to contain the fire if the battery was to combust. Don't blame me if you set your iPod on fire...
